Darlene Bell
Funeral services for Darlene Donnell Bell, 54, were conducted on Saturday, Sept. 29, at Faith Temple Pentecostal Church in Frankston.
Minister Lolita Shead officiated, with the Rev. Alice Cumby as host pastor. The Rev. F. F. Toney was the eulogist.
Mrs. Bell died on September 24, 2012. She was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Frankston under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.
Mrs. Bell, known as "Doll," was born on April 4, 1958, to the late J. B. Donnell and Dollie Osby Donnell in Athens. She received her education from Carver Elementary and Frankston High School, and she was employed for several years at Curtis Mathis in Athens.
At an early age, she joined Myrtle Springs Baptist Church. She married Jerald Bell on June 19, 1976, and the couple had three children.
Survivors include her husband Jerald Bell of Frankston; one daughter, LaKisha Donnell of Frankston; two sons, Lamont Bell of Tyler and Jeremy Bell of Frankston; one grandson, Jordan Pace; five granddaughters, Amigua Bell, Jamiyah Burton, Sha Bell, Na Bell and Kaegan Bell; two brothers, Jimmy Donnell and Danny Donnell, both of Frankston; one step-brother, Bobbie Ross of Hale Center; seven sisters, Evelyn Carter of Arlington, Johnnie Alexander of Tennessee Colony, Rena Clark, Linda Eldridge and Sherri Hambrick, all of Poynor, and Pamela Ross and Beverly Rainey, both of Frankston; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; two sisters, Fayrene Warren and Becky Donnell; and step-mother Bobbie Donnell.
Pallbearers were Stacy Whitehead, Fred Hambrick, Jason Donnell, Derrick Clark, Chadwick Donnell, Keith Eldridge, Vincent Alexander and La'Darrin Donnell. Grandchildren were honorary pallbearers.
Sallie Mae Green Mullican
Funeral services for Sallie Mae Green Mullican, 78, of Frankston, were held Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Autry Funeral Home chapel in Frankston with the Rev. Larry Bewley officiating.
Burial was held at Garden Oaks Memorial Park in Berryville.
Mrs. Mullican passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, in Frankston.
She was born Aug. 11, 1934, in Grapeland, Texas.
Mrs. Mullican was a member of Montalba Baptist Church and was a retired assembly line worker for Trane.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack D. Mullican, two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her son Michael D. Mullican and wife Norma of Montalba; daughters Jackie Waldon and husband Jerry of Montalba, Patricia Giglotto of Freeburg, IL: and Debra Jo Crow of Willis; sisters Dannie Sopchek of Spring and Mary Martin of The Woodlands; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Chris Zivney, Doug Mullican, Josh Waldon, Jon Waldon, Kenny Holder, and David Holder.
Erma Inez Murphy
A graveside service for Erma Inez Murphy, 90, of Tyler was held Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Miller officiating.
Mrs. Murphy passed away Sept. 26, 2012, under the care of The Hospice of East Texas.
She was born Nov. 23, 1921, in Coaldale, Ark., to George Washington and Cara Beler Hinds.
Mrs. Murphy was a loving homemaker who cared for her family deeply. She was a member of First Baptist Church and taught kindergarten there. Erma enjoyed golf and loved gardening. She belonged to the garden club.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Euel Wickham and Jack Murphy; and six siblings.
She is survived by her loving family including sons, Larry E. Wickham and wife Nancy of Tyler and Joseph Murphy and wife Pam of Frankston; sister, Sue Moore of San Antonio; grandchildren, Leslie Crawford and husband Mike, Brian Wickham and wife Teresa, Carmel Johnsen and husband Kevin, all of Tyler, Sarah Dezern and husband Kyle of Berryville, Stephen Murphy of Frankston, and Scott Murphy and wife Katherine of El Paso; special nieces, Debbie Dubert and Nancy Phelan, both of Tyler.
Mrs. Murphy is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and numerous other nieces and nephews.
If desired, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Tyler, 301 W. Ferguson Street, Tyler 75701.
Services were under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler.
Ralph Miller
Funeral services for Ralph Miller, 69, of Frankston, were held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Autry Funeral Home chapel in Frankston with the Rev. George Folmar officiating.
Burial was held at Red Hill Cemetery in Murchison.
Mr. Miller passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, in Frankston.
He was born March 3, 1943, in Limestone County, Texas.
Mr. Miller was a retired maintenance worker for Oncor.
He is preceded in death by his parents Obie McNeil Miller and Billie Jane Carroll Miller.
Survivors include his son Michael “Bubba” Miller and wife Jamie of Frankston and daughter Diantha; four grandchildren Holly, Heather, Alicia and Justin; and three great grandchildren.
Bobby Henderson
Graveside services for Bobby Henderson, 81, of Frankston, were held Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Wofford Cemetery in Frankston with the Rev. James Farmer officiating.
Services were under direction of Autry Funeral Home in Frankston.
Mr. Henderson passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, in Tyler.
He was born June 23, 1931, in Frankston, to Len and Ester Henderson.
Mr. Henderson was retired from Texas Industries in the maintenance department.
He was preceded in death by his sons Louis Dean and Keith Henderson. Survivors include a daughter Pat Phlieger of Frankston, and several nieces and nephews.
Evelyn Shirah
Graveside services for Evelyn Shirah, 81, of Jacksonville were held Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at LaRue Cemetery in LaRue with the Rev. Matthew Thomas officiating.
Services were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Frankston.
Mrs. Shirah passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, in Jacksonville.
She was born July 12, 1931, in Brenham.
Mrs. Shirah was a Baptist and a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ottis Batdorf and Katy Muhlburger Batdorf; husband Colquette Shirah; son Carlton Shirah Sr.; 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Survivors include her grandchildren DeAnn Cummins and husband Gerald of Tyler, Susan Martinez of Malakoff, Carlton Shirah Jr. and wife Christi of LaRue and Tracie Kent and husband Isac of Florida; ten great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
