Pictures with archived obituaries posted after that will be added in cooperation with funeral homes or on requests from families.  As was the tradition of the Citizen newspaper, obituaries are published at no charge.

Henry Ivie

Funeral Services for Mr. Henry Ivie of Frankston, 76, were scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Frankston Assembly of God Church with the Rev. J. A. Griffin and the Rev. Mike Griffin officiating. Services were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Frankston. Burial was to follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Frankston.

Mr. Ivie passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 in Tyler.

He was born April 18, 1932 in Jester, Texas.

Mr. Ivie was retired from the Armed Forces and was employed at Reliance Gas in Frankston for 17 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Frankston and proudly served with the Air Force and Navy during both the Korea and Vietnam wars.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Radford Ivie, mother, Syble Woodard Ivie and sister, Lois Marie Ivie.

Mr. Ivie is survived by his wife of 50 years Jo Ann Campbell Ivie of Frankston; son, Gregory Ivie of Frankston; daughter Cheryl Ivie Harper and husband Steven of Jacksonville; sisters, Glenda Ann McMahon and husband Bobby of Ben Franklin and Martha Carol Ivie of Duncanville; grandsons, TorranceShepherd and Grant Ivie; granddaughters, Christian Harper, Kacey Ivie and Shiloh Ivie and great granddaughter, Gavyn Norwood.

Pallbearers were to be his nephews.

June Pagitt

Funeral Services for June Pagitt, 83, of LaRue, were scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston with the Rev. Jeff Godwin officiating.

Mrs. Pagitt passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 in Palestine.

She was born June 7, 1925 in Troy, Texas.

Mrs. Pagitt was a homemaker and was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Post 5073 in Frankston.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Rogers Millender; mother, Flora Jane Clements Millender; husband, Charlie W. Pagitt; son, Bob Williams; andgranddaughter, Charlene Newland.

Mrs. Pagitt is survived by her sons, Rick Williams and wife Carol of Escondido, Calif., David Williams and wife Vicky of Grass Valley, Calif., and Randy Williams and wife Nina of Montalba; daughters, Linda Newland of Chandler, Karen Barnhart and husband Bryan of Athens, and Darlene Pagitt Deal of Poynor; step-son, John Robert Pagitt and wife Bonnie of Eastland; brother, Larry Millender of Murchison; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ray Carter

Funeral Services for Ray Carter, 78, of Poynor, were held Friday, Nov. 7, at Poynor Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Boyt and the Rev. Jeff Godwin officiating. Services were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Frankston. Burial followed at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Frankston.

Mr. Carter passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008 in Tyler.

He was born February 26, 1930 in Gallatin, Texas.

Mr. Carter was a retired Senior Captain with the Houston Fire Department. He was a member of the York Rite, Scottish Rite, a Charter Member of ArabiaShrine Temple Motor Corps, played with the Country Gents and was a member of the Poynor Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Harold Carter and first wife, Norma Carter. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Barbara Westbrook Carter of Poynor; mother, Opal Carter of Houston; sons, Chuck Carter and wife Christine of Pasadena, Rick Carter and wife Suzanne of Santa Fe, Texas, Bill Westbrook and wife Rhonda of Hallsville, Steve Westbrook and wife Sandra of Brenham; sisters, Ruth D’Albergo and husband Arthur of Houston, Linda Askin and husband Dutch of Houston; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers were Jeb Carter, Seth Carter, Gary Ellison, Greg Ellison, Trey Carter, John Westbrook, Joey Westbrook, Wes Westbrook and Kristin Westbrook.

Joye Arnold

Funeral services for Joye Carter Arnold, 72, of Frankston are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Grace Fellowship Church in Flint.

Ms. Arnold died Nov. 9, 2008.

She was born Joye Luvern Hendrix in Eustace, Tx., on Jan. 19, 1936. She was the 11th of 12 children.

She lived in Garland with her husband and children.

She worked on special projects at E-Systems in Garland for 35 years.

She moved to Fincastle in 1993 with her family and was an active member in her church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Horace Carter, and by her second husband, Woody Arnold, and by 10 brothers and sisters.

"Grandma," as she was called, is survived by her sister, Chris Hall of Flint; sons and daughters-in-law Craig and Rhonda Carter of Tyler, Steve Carter of Coffee City, and Jeff and Sabrina Carter of Frankston; nine grandchildren, David Carter of Tyler, Sarah Roster of Longview, Damian Barnett of Tyler, JordanCarter of Fort Meade, Md., Jeremiah Carter of Garland, Matthew, Holly, Daniel and Lily Carter of Frankston; and three great-grandchildren, Joy Elizabeth Carter of Tyler, Amy Lynn Carter of Fort Meade, Md., and Karlie Roster of Longview.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle McRuiz, Kenny McRuiz, Jeremy McRuiz, Max McRuiz, Lynn Hudspeth, Jim Hudspeth and Craig Burt.

A visitation was to have been held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Jackson's Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home in Tyler.

Don Delcerda

Memorial Services for Don D. Delacerda, 63, of Frankston, were scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at the First Christian Church in Jacksonville, underthe direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

Mr. Delacerda passed away Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 in Tyler.

He was born July 2, 1945 in Atlanta, Texas.

Mr. Delacerda was self employed in the construction industry, and was a member of the First Christian Church in Jacksonville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Delacerda; mother, Jean Brasher; brother, Ken Delacerda; and sister, Peggy Sue Hitchcock.

Mr. Delacerda is survived by his wife, Lisa Critchlow Delacerda of Frankston; sons, Don D. Delacerda, Jr. of Dallas, David Delacerda and wife Heather of Forney and Chris Delacerda and wife Tammie of Wiley; brothers, Jerry Delacerda and wife Barbara of Pryor, Okla., Keith Delacerda and wife Wanda of Morrillton, AR, and Mark Delacerda and wife Glenda of Waxahachie; sisters, Delores Lloyd and husband Bobby of Hughes Springs, Donna Delacerda of Mesquite, Bobbie Shelton of Texarkana and Lois Latham of Marshall; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for visitation after the services Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Jacksonville.

Mary Miller

Mary Miller, 70, of Frankston, formerly from Killeen, died Nov. 1 2008.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Frankston VFW.

She was born Sept. 21, 1938 to the late William Charles Baxter and Laura Rachel Smith Baxter.

She was a throat cancer survivor for 17 years, and was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. She lived in the Bullard and Frankston area since 2003.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Miller, and Rickey Miller and wife Brenda, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Renner and Barbara Willis, both of California.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Miller and Gary Miller; her brother, Robert Baxter, and her parents.

A memorial service was also held at the Mexia State School Chapel on Sunday, Nov. 9. Arrangements were made by Hilliard Funeral Home in Van.

Mamie Joe Beall

Mamie Joe Northcutt Beall, 67, passed from this life on November 17, 2008, in Memphis, Tenn.

She was born March 23, 1941, in Jacksonville, Texas, to Adrian and Madelyn Northcutt.

A graduate of Frankston High School and Tyler Junior College, she spent 20 years as a flight attendant for American Airlines.

Upon retirement, she moved from Dallas, and to Germantown, Tenn., where she worked for several years as a flight attendant and instructor for Northwest Airlines.

Ms. Beall was preceded in death by both parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Lynn Beall and granddaughter, Katherine Riley Kolias, both of Germantown, sister and brother-in-law, Jennie andGary Minter of Frankston; nephew, Adrian Minter of Frankston; and aunt, Jo Rowland of Tyler.

Other relatives from the Frankston area include Dot Clark, Mike Cook, Kay McDonald, and Don Fitzgerald, all of Frankston, Larry Lee Pipes of Henderson, and Pat Cook of Houston.

A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Frankston on Saturday, November 29, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Doug Howell and Jerry Beard officiating.

The family requests memorials be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or Rainbow House Food Pantry at the United Methodist Church of Frankston.
