'Pat' Reagan

REESE - Funeral services for Clyde E. "Pat" Reagan, 67, of Reese were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Thompson Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville, with the Rev. Paul Bonner officiating.

Burial was in Reese Cemetery.

Mr. Reagan died Saturday, June 30, in a Jacksonville hospital.

He was born Sept. 22, 1933, and served in the Army.

Mr. Reagan was a farmer and rancher, and a member of Antioch Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Theta Reagan, Reese; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Laurie Reagan, Jacksonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Christi and Maurice Pipkin, Crandall; brothers, Johnny Reagan, Reese, and Edward Reagan, Jacksonville; and two sisters, Margaret Holcomb and Peggy Pike, both of Jacksonville; two granddaughters, Hilliary Alyson and Callie Christene Reagan.

Pallbearers were G.W. Pike, Joe Blackmon, Travis Etheridge, Bryan Blackmon, Jason Roach, Randy Bonner, Rickie Simmons and Dewayne Blackmon.

Marnada Jane Blanton

CUNEY -Funeral services for Marnada Jane Blanton, 64, of Cuney were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Rock Hill Baptist Church in Cuney, with the Revs. Delbert Simpson and D.G. Hinton officiating.

Burial was in the Rock Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Williams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Blanton died Monday, June 25. She was born Jan. 20, 1937, in Anderson County. She was reared in Frankston, where she was a graduate of George Washington Carver Public School and attended Bishop College in Tyler. She was a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Blanton was the widow of Paul Blanton of Cuney.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Jacquelyn and Reginald Barnes, and Francine and Kenneth Williams, all of Cuney; grandchildren, Jerrod and Shyrod Long of Phoenix, Ariz. and Terrell and Elise Paulette Williams of Cuney; three sisters, Margie Nell McCowan, Luretta Arnwine of Dallas and Bettye Davis of Coffee City; a brother, Herbert Warren of Frankston; god-sister Versie Williams of Dallas; three brothers-in-law and several other relatives.

Pallbearers were Joe W. Reed, James McCowan, Larry McCowan, Herbert Warren Clell Blanton and Warren Arnwine.

Honorary pallbearers were Jessie Johnson, Mario Thomas, Floyd Marshall and Quintin Arnwine.

James E. "Jim" Moeller

Funeral services for James E. "Jim" Moeller were held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Chapel in Fort Worth. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Moeller served in the U.S. Marines and operated his own auto repair shop until retiring in 1993.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Geneva Moeller of Frankston; a son, Jim Moeller and wife, Becky of Saginaw; daughters, Cathy Holladay and husband, Bud of Plano; Janice Sosebee of Lewisville; Barbara McRoberts and husband, Glen, of Hamphire, Ill.; grandchildren, Bryan, Sherree, Rachael, Tony, Jonathan, Kristy, Jenny, Glen, Casey, Cody, Justin and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Coby, Jaycee, Trenton and Tyler; sisters, Elizabeth Moxen, Evelyn Coufal, Dorothy Janicek, Clara Erwin, Lorene Jones, Elsie Trevino and Irene Dyke.

Elsie Folmar

Funeral services for Elsie Folmar, 92, of Frankston were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston, with Rev. George Folmar and Rev. J.A. Griffin officiating.

Burial was held at the Frankston City Cemetery.

Mrs. Folmar died Monday, July 16 in a Bedford nursing home.

She was born April 17, 1909 in Frankston and had lived here most of her life.

Mrs. Folmar was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Frankston and a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a son, James Folmar of Mesquite; a daughter, Marilyn Davis of Hurst; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Grandsons serving as pallbearers were Jerry Folmar, Terry Folmar, Scott Davis, Brad Davis, John Curé and David York.

'Willie' Costlow

ATHENS - Funeral services for Wilburn Webster "Willie" Costlow, 72, Athens, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Foster & Brown Funeral Home, Athens, with Rusty Goodwin officiating.

Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Athens.

Mr. Costlow died Friday, July 6, at his residence.

He was born July 28, 1928, in LaRue to the late L.D. and Mamie Costlow.

Mr. Costlow served in the Army, and worked for Joske's for 23 years and Bexar County Sheriff's Department, both in San Antonio.

He also worked as a dispatcher for Henderson County Sheriff's Department, and retired as a guard from Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Coffield Unit. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Sharon Temple.

Mr. Costlow was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Draper; a brother, Kenneth Costlow; and a sister, Myrna Mullins.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Martha Costlow, Athens; sons, Jack Costlow, LaRue, and Michael Costlow, Pennsylvania; daughters, Charlotte Green and Linda Clark, both of Athens, Corlis Wooten, Allen, and Marcelle Fowler, Flint; step-mother, Mable Costlow, Chandler; brothers, Phillip Costlow, Louisiana, Gaylon Costlow, Chandler, and Gary Costlow, Brownsboro; sisters, Lillian Barnett, Poynor, Kozet Phillips, Frankston; Vonda Ballow, LaRue, and Nelda Parks, Chandler; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were sons-in-law, Bobby Green, Richard Clark, Gary Wooten and Kevin Fowler and grandsons, Kane Crist and Jeremy Costlow.

Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Brownlow, Mike Ware and the late J.W. Brownlow.

Elton Lewis Miller

DALLAS -Funeral services for Elton Lewis Miller, 88, of Dallas and formerly of LaRue, were held at 12 noon on Monday, July 9, at Restland Abbey Chapel in Dallas. Interment followed in Restland Memorial Park.

Mr. Miller died Friday, July 6, in Dallas.

He was born Dec. 11, 1912 in LaRue to Archie Preston Miller and Edna Melissa Costlow.

Mr. Miller worked for many years in the journalism field. He began his writing career in 1929 as sports editor for the Athens Review while he was still in high school. After a year at the Review, he went on to become editor of the Baylor Lariat before graduating with honors in journalism from Baylor University in 1934. He then worked for Baylor President Pat Neff.

Mr. Miller and his wife Kay owned and edited the White Rocker. During his career, he worked in various positions for the Dallas Times Herald, the Associated Press and the Dallas Morning News, as well as for newspapers in Garland, Taylor, Fort Worth, Van Alstyne and Whitewright. Even though he was no longer with the Athens Review, he continued to write a column, "In the Mill," for the paper into the 1980s.

Mr. Miller retired to Anna in 1981, where he stayed until moving back to Dallas in January 2000. During retirement, he worked at day care centers, Merry Meadow School and Toddler Park. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Dallas, and a lifelong Democrat.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Miller; daughters, Jacqueline Smith of Buffalo, N.Y., Barbara Tew of Austin and Marcia Miller of Dallas; grandsons, Jef Smith, John Elton Smith and James Smith, all of Buffalo, N.Y., Todd W. Tew of South Lake and Dr. Monty B. Tew of Austin; six great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.

Ferrell Dansby

Graveside services for Ferrell Dansby, 82, of Frankston, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at Frankston City Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Godwin officiating under direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston.

Mr. Dansby died Tuesday, July 24, in a Jacksonville hospital.

He was born Oct. 24, 1918, in Fincastle and was a resident of Frankston since 1957.

Mr. Dansby was an inside wireman, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a member of Poynor Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Imogene Dansby, Frankston; sons, Robert "Bob" Dansby, Chandler, James "Bo" Dansby, Whitehouse, and Richard "Dick" Dansby, Frankston; sisters, Pauline Dansby and Madeleine Grube, both of Cedar Hill, and Robbie Barbaree, Hobbs, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jon Dansby, Noah Dansby, Josh Dansby, Wade Dansby, Ira Dansby, Charles Dansby and Gary Meador.

Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Poynor Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Poynor Baptist Church Building Fund.
