Billy “Bill” Nelson Henderson

Funeral services for Billy “Bill” Nelson Henderson, 88, of Frankston, was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston with Bro. G.C. Folmar and Bro. Scott Wiley officiating. Interment followed at Frankston City Cemetery.

Visitation was Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 6 to 8 PM at Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.

Mr. Henderson passed away on Monday, Dec. 2 at his home in Frankston.

He was born July 27, 1931 in Frankston, the son of Walter “Son” and Annie Pike Henderson.

Bill served in the US Army and retired from the Department of Highways and Transportation with 20 years of service. He loved to fish and enjoyed reading Western books, watching wrestling on TV and listening to Blue Grass music.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Jo Lindsey Henderson; his parents, Walter and Annie Henderson and sister, Rachel Henderson Walker.

He is survived by his daughters Sue Campbell and husband Gordon and Debbie Hilton; grandchildren, Sarah Hilton Moore and husband Matt, Cash Campbell, and great-grandchildren, Sage, Hattie and Cooper Moore.

Pallbearers were W.T. Jennings, Butch Hefelfinger, Dan Lade, Jeremy Lade, Wayne Bristow and Guy Campbell.

Bonnie Ruth Holsomback

Bonnie Ruth Holsomback went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 7, 2019.

She was born in Murchison, Texas to Lee Roy Hopkins and Allie Aaron Hopkins Davis and lived in Frankston most of her life. She was married to Jack Holsomback, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1982, for 33 years.

A funeral service was scheduled at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston. Mrs. Holsomback was laid to rest at Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.

Mrs. Holsomback is survived by her son Jack E. Holsomback, Jr. (Anne), daughter Billie Holsomback (John), son James Holsomback (Lisa), grandchildren Jack E. Holsomback III JEH (Veronica), Samuel, Olivia and Blaize Holsomback, many nephews and nieces.

She loved her family dearly and they were her greatest joy. Mrs. Holsomback loved God and lived to serve him throughout her life.

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter Cherry Ruth Holsomback, her sisters Alma Lee Smiley, Fayrene Tiner, Opal McKool, brothers Joe Dan Hopkins and Roy McArthur Hopkins, and her younger sister Kathern Herriage. She was also predeceased by her husbands’ Billy Dean and Charles Boyd.

Pallbearers were Jon Ray, Vernon Hudnall, Mike Robison, Jeremy Fail, Gerald Putney and Cecil McCaughan. Honorary pallbearers were Lee Dickerson and her church family.

Joe Lilly

A funeral service for Joe Lilly, 87, of Frankston, was scheduled at 10 o’clock in the morning Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Frankston. Rev. Scott Wiley officiated. Mr. Lilly was laid to rest at Frankston City Cemetery.

Mr. Lilly passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019 in Tyler.

He was born Nov. 19, 1932 in Baltimore, MD to Joseph and Kathryn (Rohmer) Lilly.

Mr. Lilly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Frankston. He was employed at at Texas Instruments for 32 years as a Reliability Engineer. After retirement, he worked at Six Flags for a season. Some of his hobbies included gardening, fishing and genealogy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Kathryn Lilly and two brothers-in-law; Jerry Bihary and Glen Grissom.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years Eddie Lilly; a daughter, Rhonda Kemp of Ft. Worth; two sons, Joe Lilly and wife Sherri of Lone Oak, and Paul Lilly of Frankston; a sister, Joan Bihary of Dallas; a brother-in-law, Larry Grissom; grandchildren, Nathan Kemp, Nick Kemp and wife Justine, Chance Kemp and wife Krystal, Jason Lilly and wife Sabrina, Clay Lilly, Casey Crenwelge and husband Kurt, Gessika Bravo and husband Robert, Katerina McSwain and husband Lance, and Paul Chance Lilly; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation was on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019 from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.

George N. Cox

A Memorial Service for George N. Cox,73, of Frankston, was scheduled at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020 at the Frankston Church of Christ.

Mr. Cox passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 in Athens.

George was born Sept. 21, 1946 in Jacksonville to Wesley and Dixie (Billingsley) Cox.

He graduated in 1965 from Canyon High School. His Bachelor of Science degree was received from Abilene Christian College and Masters in Education from West Texas State University. Mr. Cox was a girls’ basketball coach. He coached at the high school, junior college and division I college levels.

Fishing was an activity Mr. Cox greatly enjoyed throughout his life. He also enjoyed attending the Texas boys’ and girls’ state basketball tournaments. Mr. Cox loved to teach Bible and delighted in the fellowship at Camp Blue Haven in New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Courtney Brown and husband Matt of Arlington, TX; son Wes Cox from Flint, TX; brother James Simmons-Cox from Bend, OR and sister Dixie Cox from Santa Cruz, CA. Mr. Cox is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Harper and Dixie Brown and Grayson Cox.
