As was the tradition of the Citizen newspaper, obituaries are published at no charge.

Tanya Michelle Lovgren
Funeral services for Tanya Michelle Lovgren were held Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
Interment followed at Restland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lovgren passed away on Sunday, Nov. 20.
She was born Sept. 21, 1969 in Tyler.
Mrs. Lovgren was described by her family and friends as an extremely devoted mother, loving wife and always there to help anyone in need. She had a private practice as a nurse midwife and was finishing her doctoral degree in nursing.
She was preceded in death by her children, Anthony and Emily; grandparents, Lloyd and Katherine Williams; Ernest and Nola Posey.
She is survived by husband, Anthony Lovgren; children, Ashley, Christopher, Sierra and Faith; parents, Janice and Jerry Moosberg; Lloyd and Virginia Williams; parents-in-law, Rob and Diann Lovgren; siblings, Suzanne Williams, David Williams and wife Dana; sister-in-law, Stephanie Couron and husband David; grandparents, Gigi Rothlisberger, Grandma Vi and Maurice Cumro; as well as many aunts, cousins, extended family and friends.
Ruby L. Bizzell
Funeral services for Ruby Lavelle Bizzell, 86, were held Monday, Dec. 12 at the Frankston Church of Christ with John Thompson and Johnny Anders officiating under direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston.
Burial was held at the Frankston City Cemetery.
Mrs. Bizzell passed away Saturday, Dec. 10.
She was born Dec. 7, 1919 in Poynor to Cora Dickerson Hanna and Thomas Hanna.
Mrs. Bizzell as retired from Anderson Co. Tax Office after 20 years of service and had worked at K. Wolens until they closed in 1992. She was a member of the VFW and former member of the Frankston Garden Club. She was a lifelong Christian and member of the Frankston Church of Christ.
Mrs. Bizzell was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Bobby Gene Bizzell; granddaughter, Susan Leigh Bizzell; brother, Benny Hanna and her parents.
She is survived by her husband Ferrell L. Bizzell, Frankston; brother and sister-in-law, Reagan and Arthur Lee Hanna, Beaumont; sisters and brother-in-law, Fayrene and Preston Dickerson, Frankston, Katrena Reid, Tyler and Betty Parigi, Mesquite; granddaughters and their husbands, Laurie Bizzell and Glenn Bandy, San Antonio and Amy Bizzell and Geoff Stone, Carrollton, VA; great-grandchildren, Will, Mitch, Josh and Jacob Bandy, San Antonio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Ryan Bizzell, Dana Bizzell, Sam Lackey, Bryan Ramsey, Spencer Lackey, Jimmy Moore and Robert Dickerson.
Charles Roy Bruorton
Funeral services for Charles R. Bruorton, 91, of Flint, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL were held Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Anderson-McQueen Funeral and Cremation Centers-NE St. Petersburg Chapel.
Burial was in Memorial Park, St. Petersburg.
Mr. Bruorton passed away Thursday, Dec. 8 in Frankston.
He was born in Reading, MA and moved to St. Petersburg in 1951 from Cuba. He worked as an electrician for Seaboard Coastline from 1951 to 1977. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and Local #1970.
Mr. Bruorton was a Navy veteran and served with Merchant Marines during World War II. He was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Ruby Louise Crabtree, Flint; brother, William E. Bruorton, Bakersfield, CA; sisters, Anne Bradley, Swanton, VT and Ruth Manning, Sharon, VT.
Clifford Emerson
Funeral services for Clifford Emerson, 91, were held Saturday, Dec. 10 at Frankston Church of Christ with John Thompson and Johnny Anders officiating, under direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston.
Burial was in Poynor Community Cemetery.
Mr. Emerson passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7.
He was born June 4, 1914 in Poynor to the late C.K. and Georgie Bell Taylor Emerson.
Mr. Emerson married Estelle Hanna on Dec. 7, 1938 and he was a lifetime resident of the Poynor and Frankston communities.
He worked for the U.S. Dept. of Engineers, then was assigned to the U.S. Marines in 1944. He received the Purple Heart in June of 1945 after being wounded in Iwo Jima. In 1947 he established the Farmers Feed and Fertilizer Store in Frankston where he worked along with raising cattle, chickens and turkeys until he retired in 1969. He was one of the charter members of the Frankston Volunteer Fire Dept. and served as Fire Chief for several years.
Mr. Emerson was a member of the Frankston Church of Christ where he served as a teacher and treasurer for over 40 years. He was a volunteer Chaplin for the Texas Prison System and an avid supporter and worker for the Know Your Bible program. Family and friends remember him as being a “dedicated husband and devoted family man always willing to give of himself to others.”
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Estelle Emerson, Frankston; sister, Jean McDaniel, Wills Point and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jeff Hyde, Victor Pfund, Kyle Riley, J.P. Jiminez, Brent Hoffman and Alan Vinson. Nieces and nephews served as honorary pallbearers.
Sharon LaJoy Laughlin
Graveside services for Sharon Laughlin, 55, were held Wednesday, Dec. 21 at the Liberty Hill Cemetery with Rev. J.A. Griffin officiating, under direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston.
She passed away Friday, Dec. 16.
Mrs. Laughlin was born Aug. 23, 1950 in Anderson County. She was a homemaker and a member of Assembly of God Church in Frankston.
She is survived by her husband, John Laughlin, Frankston; son, John Laughlin, Jr., Seaman 1st Class, of Guam; daughter, Sharronn Goar, Jacksonville; brother, James Shugart, Frankston; sisters, Katie Mattern and Nancy Morton, both of Palestine, Carolyn Southard, Jacksonville and Catherine Mullen, North Little Rock, AR; granddaughter, Emily Marie Goar, Jacksonville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Thomas Clakley, Don Laughlin, James Shugart, Ken Mullen, Richard Perry, Bubba Dunlap, Clyde Jones and David Mewbourn.
