Ray Rankin

Funeral services for Ray Rankin, 75, of Berryville, were held Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Autry Funeral Home chapel in Frankston. Interment was at Frankston City Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Wylie officiating.

Ray was born Sept. 18, 1935, in Houston. He served four years each in the U.S. Navy and Air Force. He retired from AMF Tuboscope after 33 years in the domestic and international departments.

Mr. Rankin was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Katherine Rankin.

Ray is survived by his wife of 48 years Peggy; daughters, Michelle Rankin of Dallas and Renee Scheinbart and husband Greg of Pflugerville; granddaughters, Lindsey and Kristina and fiancé Nick; grandson, Ethan; great-granddaughters, Makenzie and Hailey; sister Delight Kinser of Houston; and nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Pallbearers were Greg Scheinbart, Eric Pearson, Larry Kinser, Doug Kayem, Billy Earl and Ken Dailey.

Cecil ‘Kenneth’ Boles

Memorial services for Cecil “Kenneth” Boles, 71, of LaRue were held Sunday, Oct. 31, at the LaRue Baptist Church, with the Rev. Olin Boles and Joshua Wilken officiating.

Mr. Boles died Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at his residence in LaRue with his family by his side.

Mr. Boles was a resident of LaRue. He was born in the New York Community in Henderson County September 6, 1939 to the late Clint and Minnie (Cecil) Boles.

He graduated from LaPoynor High School, and played basketball at LaPoynor and Jacksonville Baptist College.

He was a banker at First State Bank in Big Sandy, for sixteen years.

While living in Big Sandy he was a member of the school board and city council along with other community activities.

After moving to LaRue, Mr. Boles was a truck driver for over 20 years. He was a member of the LaRue Baptist Church and was active in the community.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carolyn Preston Boles; son, Clinton Kenneth Boles; daughters, Robin Boles Kelly, and Rhonda Boles Boyette; and grandchildren, Brianne Kelly, Brandon Kelly, Callie Jo Walker, Bridgette Kelly and Emmaley Kelly, Joshua Handcock and Cody Handcock; great grandchildren, Sean Massey, Aubrey Massey, Katherine Kelly, and Kolby Harris.

Other survivors include his brother, Olin Boles of LaRue and wife, Marilyn; brother-in-law, Billy Preston of LaRue, and numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of Boles and Cecil cousins.

Vloice Redding

Graveside services for Vloice Redding, 89, of Cleburne, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at Poynor Cemetery with the Rev. J. A. Griffin officiating.

Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.

Mrs. Redding passed away Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, in Cleburne.

She was born September 5, 1921, in Frankston.

Mrs. Redding grew up in Frankston and had lived in Cleburne for the last five years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Carl Redding who died in 1944.

Survivors include her son, James Redding and wife Patti of Cleburne; two grandchildren, Loice Prudhomme and Carl Redding; and three great-grandchildren Isaiah, Marion and Natalie Redding.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.


Norene Elizabeth Huber

A memorial service for Norene Elizabeth Huber, 90, of Arlington, Texas and formerly of Frankston, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, at Old Bethel Cemetery near Frankston.

Tom Hightower will be the officiant for the service.

Ms. Huber passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, in Arlington.

She was born November 14, 1919, in Bullard, to Levi Ellis and Zeliah Cole Ellis.

Ms. Huber was a Baptist and retired.

She is preceded in death by her parents Levi and Zeliah Ellis; sisters, Marie Thomas and Veda Harvey; brothers, Frank Ellis, Joe Ellis and Kenneth Ellis.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Max and Deborah Ellis of Arlington and sisters, Darlene Norberg of Flint and Dorothy Hunter of California and grandchildren.
