Kevin Eric Shults
Kevin Eric Shults, a former resident of Frankston, was buried on Feb. 20, 2014, in Brushy Creek Cemetery.
Shults died on Feb. 19, 2014, in Palestine.
He was born on Aug. 4, 1962, in Farmington, N.M., and was a construction worker.
Survivors include his wife Ginger of Palestine; son Nathan Shults and daughter Riley Shults; parents DeWayne and Anna Shults of Palestine; and one grandchild Hanlon Shults.

Marie Alice Morgan
Memorial services for Marie Alice Morgan, 93, of Berryville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Hilltop Baptist Church in Berryville with Brother George Folmar officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morgan passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at her home in Berryville.
She was born Oct. 6, 1920, in Elbert, Colorado, to Ralph and Hazel Troop.
Marie was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church in Berryville.
Marie moved to Texas in 2002 where she built a new home on Lake Palestine. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Berryville Garden Club. In her earlier years she was an avid bowler.
Marie was a good friend and neighbor to everyone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Morgan; daughter Virginia Leslie; and siblings Clara Mae, Albert, Ella, Lovella and Dorothy.
She is survived by her loving family including daughter Anita Kates of Vancouver, Washington; grandchildren Flora Belle McDonald, Ashley Leslie, Richard Leslie, Jennifer Wurtz and James Kates; eight great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.

Opal Lee Miller Dewberry
Funeral for Opal Lee Miller Dewberry, 83, of Frankston were held Saturday, March 8, at Frankston High School with Dr. Reginald Shankle officiating.
Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of Mercy/McGowan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dewberry died March 3, 2014, at Mother Frances Hospital.
She was born July 28, 1930, in Brushy Creek, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Frankston, Texas in Anderson County.
Survivors include her four sons David Dewberry, Tyrone Dewberry, Robert Dewberry and Arthur Dewberry; daughters Mary Tatum, Patricia Dewberry Overshown, Gwendolyn Dewberry and Regina Dewberry; brothers Willie Miller and Cleotha Miller; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Peggy Burt
Peggy Burt, 61, a long time resident of Frankston, passed away on March 5, 2014, in Oklahoma.
She was born Oct. 14, 1952
Peggy was proceeded in death by her mother Jewell Brinkley; brother Ricky Brinkley; son Eddie Burt and grandson Preston Clark.
She is survived by her brother Johnny Brinkley of Oklahoma; son Charles Clark and wife Tammy Clark of Kemp; daughter Melinda (Mindy) Clark and husband Jessie Mitchell of Mabank; daughter-in-law Jennifer Burt of Sherman; grandchildren Krystal Mitchell, Amanda Mitchell, Heather Ellis and Cody Burt; great grandchildren Christopher, Chelsea and Colton Ellis, Bryce Mitchell and Nathaniel Sanchez; and several other family members and friends.
Service for Peggy were held at Cunningham Funeral Home in Oklahoma.
Roger Dale Hodges
Roger Dale Hodges, 63, passed away on Feb. 25, 2014.
Hodges was born July 6, 1950, in Fort Worth to Alvin Dewitt Hodges and Betty Sue Boyd.
He was a transmission mechanic who loved chess and dominos and liked to watch the History Channel.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and lived in Oklahoma City and spent a few weeks in Frankston with family before his death in Trinidad, Texas.
He was married to his wife Martha Hodges for 40 years.
Hodges was preceded in death by Eva Bledsoe Steller and Rondald D. Jeffus.
He is survived by his wife Martha Hodges; son David Hodges and Kandi Hodges; daughter Tammy Hodges; grandchildren Canyon. Blessing, Marke and Edna Bledsoe, Brenda Barker, Chris Steller, Lynn Steller, Henry Canady, Jennifer Jeffus, Michael Steller, Charles Kliebert, Samantha Steller, Billie Jo Barker, William Barker, Sr., and numerous nieces and nephews in Texas and Oklahoma.

Cloetis M. Rozell Vickery
Services for Cloetis M. Rozell Vickery, 79, of Tyler, were held Friday, March 14, 2014, at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Doug Howell and William Vickery officiating. Burial followed in Beaird Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vickery passed from this world into the hands of her Lord and Savior Monday, March 10, 2014.
She was born on Nov. 22, 1934, in Tyler to Ulyss Grant Sr. and Dora Blair Rozell.
She married Thomas J. Vickery, Sr. on March 27, 1952, and enjoyed 62 years of marriage with him. Cloetis was a genealogy enthusiast. She traveled the United States and Europe extensively gathering her family history. She cherished her family and enjoyed sharing ancestral stories with them. She was an active member of Frankston United Methodist Church, a choir member, and traveled as a lay representative for the Frankston Depot Library.
She was a proud member of the United Methodist Women’s Red Hat Society. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents U.G Rozell and Dora Blair Rozell; sister Yvonne “Bonnie” Rozell Frasier; brother Leonard Rozell and grandson Clint Vickery.
She is survived by her husband Thomas J. Vickery, Sr., Tyler; daughter Joyce “Kimmie” Martin and her fiancée Sid Harrison of Troup; sons Thomas J. Vickery, Jr. and wife Leslie of Lindale, Jerry Vickery and wife Sheila of Tyler, Bobby Vickery and wife Milly of Frost; brothers U.G. Rozell of Tyler, Clyde Rozell of Jacksonville, Paul Rozell and wife Nancy of Chandler; sister Barbara Chambless and husband Harrell of Houston.
She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren who she is known as known as “Mama Too.” They are: Clay Vickery, Dr. Aaron Martin, Jessica Stewart, Rachael Martin, Jennifer Vickery White, Julie Vickery, Mary Vickery Verett, Jesse Vickery. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Grant Rozell, David Rozell, Duane Rozell, Bryan Rozell, Len Roberson and Harrell Chambless, Jr.

Lisa Ailene Kelly
Lisa Ailene Kelly, 48, of Frankston, passed away on March 15, 2014, in Tyler.
She was born Feb. 17, 1966, in Tyler and worked in retail.
She was preceded in death by her mother Thyra Snelling.
Survivors include her parents Kenneth and Shirley Ratliff of Flint; brothers Randy Terry, Jed Snelling and Brian Terry; sisters Trisha Young (her twin sister), Sabrina Webb, Dena Beard and Tami Terry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

John Skidmore
John Skidmore of Houston, formerly of Frankston, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2014.
He was 84. He was born in Grapeland on July 5, 1929.
After graduating from Grapeland High School in 1948 he played basketball for Henderson County Junior College in Athens, Texas, for two years while studying business administration.
He then served in the United States Army for two years during the Korean War.
After his military service, he attended the University of Houston and received his bachelor of science degree in accounting in 1960. He worked as an accountant his entire professional career retiring as the controller for Pilgrim Enterprises of Houston in 1987.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Bennie Skidmore; a son Ronald David Skidmore; six brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Estalene Skidmore of Houston; a son Eric and wife Deborah Skidmore of Friendswood, Texas; two granddaughters Amelia DeLane of Katy, Texas, and Julia Jenkins and husband Jonathan of Richmond, Texas; one great-grandson James Eric DeLane of Katy; and many nephews and nieces.
We will miss our beloved “Papaw” a loving husband, father, grandfather and believer in Christ.

Troy Dean Glass
Services for Troy Dean Glass, 83, of Brownsboro, were scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Foster Cemetery under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Glass died March 24, 2014, in Tyler. She was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Sheridan, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by parents, Milton and Troy Baker. Survivors include husband Robert A. Glass of Brownsboro; daughters Billie Fay Anderson and husband Vance of Brownsboro, Deanna Montrose and husband John of Poynor; step-son Robert W. Glass and wife Kathleen of Montgomery; step-daughter Randal Kay Alders and husband Steve of Montgomery; brothers Calvin Baker of Mabank, Mickey Baker and wife Kathy of Dallas; sisters Jamie King of Denver, Colorado, Wanda Faye Griffin and husband Charles of Hastings, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation was to have been held Wednesday, March 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
